Hello people! I am Shaifali and I come from a big, beautiful, and very diverse country, India. I feel so privileged to have this opportunity of becoming part of the prestigious EMTTI programme. I come from a language background having done a Bachelor's and a Master's in French language. My specialization is in Translation and Interpretation. As a translator, I have always wondered about how all these translation tools, that have become so indispensable to the translation industry, are developed. This curiosity is what has led me to the field of Computational Linguistics. I have always tried to learn a little bit of programming with small courses here and there, but after entering this EMTTI programme, I know I'll have the chance to really sharpen my programming skills and put them into use for developing a Natural Language Processing tool (hopefully! fingers crossed). I look forward to this exciting academic journey, with an open mind and some coffee.
