Erasmus Mundus Scholarship

Scholarships are funded for the EM TTI programme as part of the Erasmus Mundus scheme.
Three scholarships are available for students from Programme Countries and twelve for students from Partner Countries.
Erasmus+ Programme Countries are defined as the 28 member states of the European Union (EU), plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Northern Macedonia and Turkey.*
*The United Kingdom is still considered a Programme Country; we will update as soon as this changes.
The EM TTI student scholarship includes student participation costs (tuition fees, including full insurance coverage and any other mandatory costs related to student participation in the course), a contribution to student travel and installation costs and a subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EM TTI study programme.
The scholarship includes:
- Course fees
- A one-off contribution to travel and installation costs
- A monthly subsistence stipend
Travel and Installation Payment: The amount received by the successful candidates for travel and installation costs is set by the EC and depends on the distance between the candidate’s residence (at the time of the deadline of the student scholarship application) and the coordinating institution, the University of Wolverhampton, UK. All visa costs and health surcharges are covered by the indivudal student from this payment.

The successful candidates will receive a €1000 stipend per month – this is only paid when the student is not in their country of residence. For example, if a Spanish national enrolled and spent their first year in Wolverhampton and their second year in Malaga, they would receive the subsistence stipend in their first year but not the second year. However, if they spent their first year in Wolverhampton and their second year in Sofia, then they would receive the subsistence stipend throughout both years of the MA course.
The scholarships are available only to candidates who have not already benefited from a previous EMJMD scholarship or an Erasmus Mundus Master Course / Joint Doctorate scholarship. Your application for a funded place is confirmation that you fulfil this criteria.
